EG Benefit Advisors is an independent insurance agency focused primarily on finding benefit solutions for small and medium-sized business owners across a host of industries – everything from manufacturing, distribution, and construction to education, health care, and personal services, to mention just a few. We focus on serving businesses in MA, ME, and NH.
What We Do
Our goal is to help business owners provide their employees with a strong benefits package in the most cost-effective manner possible. We want to enhance their companies’ profitability and competitive edge by attracting and retaining high quality staff, enhancing employee morale and productivity, and controlling operating costs.
For sole proprietors and individuals, we can also provide guidance and help them select the financial protection they need for themselves and their families, such as life insurance and short and long-term disability.

Our mission is to enable business owners to sustain growth and financial stability and profitability by putting together valuable and affordable benefit plans for their staff. And at the employee level, to provide support and assistance when they need it most – at time of claim when they are dealing with an unexpected health or life event.
Ellen Glew
Ellen Glew, Ph.D., is the principal of EG Benefit Advisors. Ellen has been working in the employee benefits arena since 2009. She brings to her work as an advisor over three decades of experience as an entrepreneur and business owner. She knows and understands first-hand the challenges that her clients face.
Before launching her career in business, Ellen also spent many years as an educator at the college level. She applies the communications skills she honed from this experience to provide effective education of her business owner clients, as well as to their employees, for whom she is their personal insurance agent.
A native New Englander, Ellen has traveled and worked extensively in other parts of the US and abroad. She graduated with a B.A. from Smith College and holds M.A. and Ph.D. degrees from Harvard University. She is the proud mother of two grown daughters and presently is “parenting” her cat, CiCi.
